1920's Kriss Kross Rotary Stropper, pat. 192?, silver color, top: "KRISS KROSS...", underside: "pat..."

Place blade in blade grip. Push down switch on side of housing. Rotate handle clockwise. Blade will be turned over after every three revolutions. After each side has had three revolutions on the strop the switch will click up one position automatically reducing pressure on the blade from the strop. After a total of nine revolutions per side the blade is ready for use again. The origins of the Rotary Stropper probably stem from the fact that people could not get used to the idea of throwing away part of their razor. Straight edge razors had been stropped for hundreds of years, why not strop safety razor blades?

(#25) Valet, gold colored metal, lever just under back of head locks blade holding flap in place, with lever in the up position the flap may be lifted for access to the blade, lifting flap also rotates gears on side of head and cylinder inside head, I'm guessing that the design lends itself to some sort of blade stropping ability but I'm not sure how it would work. top: "VALET", inside: "PATENT NOS. | 1,492,246, 1,639,335 | 1,770,170, 2,068,717"
