Creekstone FTP, cFTP
for short, makes automated transfers of files to and
from FTP file servers a snap. It excels at performing
an automated transfer of a realtivly static list of
files.
Many find it even more useful when combined
with Microsoft Scheduler to do routine file transfers
on a nightly, weekly or even monthly schedule. It's
automated naming and overwitting features allow for
single or multiple versions of destination files. If
your computer uses a modem, then correct configuration
of dial-up networking can allow Creekstone FTP to connet
to the network or Internet automatically without user
intervention.
Some corporations have found Creekstone
FTP useful for syncronizing data files and documents
with remote office locations not on the corporate network.
The remote computers can initiate dial-up networking
and file transfer, then disconnect, during the middle
of the night. The uses are limited only by your imagination.
